The Skoda Fabia 2018 Combi Scoutline

2018 Skoda Fabia

The new Skoda Fabia Combi Scoutline has been revealed for a European release only. This Fabia variant will give the popular little wagon an entirely new and more rugged appearance. This crossover will have all of the engine types and colour choices that are available on the standard Fabia Combi wagon. Let’s take a closer look at what this release will add and whether we will see it here in Australia.

A Cosmetic Upgrade?

The Skoda Fabia Combi Scoutline has a number of cosmetic crossover upgrades, such as wheel arch cladding, rugged side sill, front, and rear faux skid plate inserts and contrasting bumpers. There also some exclusive 16” and 17” alloy wheel options to look forward to. These are all cosmetic upgrades only, but overall all the effect is striking, so if you want a Fabia Combi with a more rugged appearance this car should scratch that itch.

The Fabia Combi Engines

The Fabia Scoutline is built on the successful Skoda Fabia Combi which provides a good value proposition for drivers. There is a range of three cylinder petrol engines available, and they have been tweaked to meet the European Union 6d-Temp emission standard, making them an environmentally friendly choice. There are two turbocharged petrol engines in the range, and both of them are fitted with particulate filters.

Skoda Fabia Equipment

The entire Fabia range has been recently updated, and as a part of the Fabia family, the Combi Scoutline will also have these features on board. So, the Scoutline will have the full front and rear LED headlights and an automatic high beam feature. To improve safety, there are now a rear cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring systems. Skoda has also added some extra USB ports in the cabin for your portable devices.

Voluminous Cargo Space

One of the most important aspects of any crossover type vehicle is the amount of available storage space. Many people like to take weekend family trips, and this can involve moving a lot of stuff at once. The Fabia Combi has a full 530 litres of boot space with the second row of seats in place. If the seats are dropped this rises to an impressive 1,395 litres of available cargo space. Despite being classed as a light car, the Fabia Combi boot space could be compared favourably against many medium SUVs. Also, if you need to load or unload at night Skoda have fitted a handy removable full LED torch in the boot area so you can see what you’re doing.

Australian Availability

Skoda has confirmed that the Scoutline will only be released in certain European markets at this time. This means that we are not likely to see this car here in the immediate future. However, as we have seen, aside from the styling many of these features are also available on the latest Fabia Combi models.

If they are searching for a new Skoda Cars Perth based drivers should contact us to arrange a no obligation test drive.
