Skoda Car Models: Spotlight on the Skoda Kodiaq 132 TSI

Skoda Kodiaq Gamechanger

Although it has only been in Australia a few months, the Skoda Kodiaq has already made an impact on Skoda car sales. This newest addition to the lineup of Skoda car models is a seven seat crossover designed to rival the Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento and seven seat versions of the Nissan X-Trail, Mitsubishi Outlander, and Honda CRV. So, here is a closer look at what you can expect from the Kodiaq 132 TSI.

As anyone familiar with Skoda car models will know, the brand is famed for their clever design innovations. This is exemplified with the new Kodiaq. There is a whole raft of standard equipment including rear view camera, sat nav, adaptive LED headlights, autonomous emergency braking, 8 inch touchscreen, key fob proximity sensor, electric tailgate, radar guided cruise control and 19 inch alloys.

Like many of the updated Skoda car models, the Kodiaq has a cabin that highlights the elegance and design of the VW Group. At the heart of the cabin is the touchscreen that has a smooth swipe action. Most of the contact points feature tactile materials, and you can feel the solid build quality throughout the cabin. However, there are many touches that are unique to the Kodiaq that highlight the Skoda design innovation. These include the bright green lighting, digital instrument displays, and steel kick plates. You can also opt for a 360 degree overhead camera that makes parking beautifully simple.

Despite a past of modest car sales, Skoda has obviously taken note of what is lacking in the seven seater SUV segment. Unlike many models on the market, the Kodiaq has been designed to provide not only a functional cabin but also optimum passenger comfort. The middle row can be moved using a slide rail by as much as 18 centimetres and offers several degrees of movement to recline. All the rear occupants are offered a high riding position with plenty of visibility, leg, toe, and headroom. There are also lots of clever features to make being a passenger in the Kodiaq a pleasure. There are flip down armrests complete with cup holders, jacket hooks, pull up sunblinds, tablet holders, LED reading lights and automatic up/down windows.

There are also three child seat anchorage points with ISOFIX points available on the outboard seats, So if you have a young family, you can be assured your little ones will be both comfortable and safe. You will also have plenty of room for everything you need to pack into a family vehicle, with 270 litres of cargo space with all seven seats in place. This expands to a cavernous 630 litres when you fold the third row.

If you would like to know more about the Kodiaq or any of the latest Skoda car models, you should speak to us. The Perth City Skoda team would be happy to answer any queries you may have about our car sales, Skoda specifications, and current deals.
